These demos for Bank of Ireland 365 online include versions that use Adobe Flash. To view this Flash content, you must have Adobe Flash Player (version 8 or newer) installed on your computer. Download Adobe Flash Player.
There are three ways in which Flash content can be made accessible to screen reader users:
With these demos we have made the Flash content self-voicing. The synchronised captions for this self-voicing audio can be turned on or off, and there is an option for users to control the volume of the Flash audio.
We also have provided accessible HTML alternatives to the Flash content (see below).
These demos have been designed to ensure that the Flash content is keyboard accessible and does not require fine motor skills. Textual equivalents are provided for non-text elements that provide a function, such as the "Previous" and "Next" navigation buttons.
Please note that from the 365online website the demos open in a new browser window, and are hosted on a separate website, www.365onlinedemo.ie.
Flash Player 8 and 9 are available in English as well as these languages: Chinese Simplified, Chinese Traditional, French, German, Japanese, Italian, Korean, and Spanish.
We have also provided an HTML version of each demo. These HTML-only versions contain the same text as the Flash versions, as well as key images that feature in the corresponding Flash demo.
The Bank of Ireland Group is committed to providing web pages that are accessible to all our users, including users with disabilities. To this end, we are working towards complying with Double-A accessibility under the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 1.0 of the World Wide Web Consortium. View the full WCAG guidelines.
We are continually making improvements to meet these guidelines.
The main 365online.com website is based on frames. This is a way of dividing up the browser screen into multiple, independent screens, for example to add a side menu bar to a website which remains constantly on the screen when it is clicked.
With frames, several HTML documents are displayed in the same browser window. Each HTML document is called a frame, and each frame is independent of the others. Frames can introduce accessibility problems
These demos break out of frames – they are presented in the browser as a single HTML document, without frames.
